When I first went self-employed, my goal was simple: to build sites and software for small businesses, teams, and individuals.
To that end, I ended up using a variety of different platforms, languages, and tools in order to best serve whatever the primary need was.
But over the past year or so, I’ve begun to heavily focus specifically on WordPress. So much so that I’m currently doing 100% of my contract work building applications on WordPress, creating custom plugins (both for fun and profit), speaking at events, guest blogging, building themes, and so on and I’m really enjoying it.
As such, I’ve made the decision to deliberately focus specifically on WordPress for the foreseeable future and, as such, am working on rebranding my company as well as all the peripheral stuff that comes with doing that.
Additionally, I need to sell of an old domain.
Just before working for myself, my career was moving in a direction of team leadership and was reducing the amount of development that I was doing.
Yes, I loved the work I was doing, but I enjoy writing code and actually building and implementing solutions more than anything.
So when I moved into self-employment, I opted to take my LLC and brand it as More Development since that’s exactly what I wanted to do.
Over the years, I’ve received inquiries as to:
- What type of software do you build?
- What kind of sites do you build?
- Are you a construction company?
- Is your last name “More?”
- What type of development do you do?
- …and more
Obviously, the name was not only confusing for what I do, but it also implied a wider variety of work than I’m currently doing.
And since I’ve refocused my efforts on what I’m doing and I’ve working on a re-brand, I’m obviously ready to sell my old domain: MoreDevelopment.com.
I’ve no set price in mind, though the domain was not a $12 purchase from one of the major vendors. I’m looking for serious inquiries only.
I’ve disabled the comments on this post so if you’re interested in purchasing the domain, shoot me an email and we’ll talk.
