Since launching The Pressware Shop a few months ago, I’ve also been working to blog a few times a week about what’s going on with the projects that are in development and about some of the core philosophies that I’m trying to follow as I work to introduce this second arm of the company.

The Pressware Shop

When Pressware first started, it was primarily services-oriented. That is, it was primarily made up of doing contract work (which I love doing) with a few hobby projects on the side; however, as time has passed, I’ve been able to add to the team to continue to service-oriented side of things while also focusing on building products.

But there are already so many WordPress companies already available, why bother starting another one?

Yet Another WordPress Company?

Is it a beautiful or unique snowflake? Probably not.

Well. Maybe not. Maybe so.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been aiming to try to write at least three times a week about the company’s partners, the company’s goals, and the general philosophy behind what I’m trying to do with the products that I’m creating.

And I share this here shamelessly just to bring attention that I’m writing about what I’m doing professionally (and less technically) on another site.

In the most recent post, I share:

Pressware exists in order to build opinionated products for people who are serious about digital publishing while using WordPress.

And that’s the short of it.

Of course, there’s more to it than that, and in the original article I talk a bit more about what I’m working on, what I hope to achieve, and why I’m not particularly worried about being yet another WordPress company.

So if you’ve got sometime this weekend, head over to the original post and read it. Or better yet, follow the blog as I continue to post about the things that are going on with Pressware, as well.
